The evening meal is served buffet style or from the BBQ. Highlights include roast beef and the Thursday evening steak festivities. Fresh bread and diverse salads compliment a hearty and balanced array of supper combinations. We are happy to accomodate whatever dietary needs or restrictions you might have with advance notice.

Diverse salads are part of every meal. Plentiful fresh fruit is served at breakfast and lunch daily. A variety of healthy grain and rice dishes are served at lunch and supper, throughout the course of the week.
SEAFOOD Friday evening is the traditional time to enjoy seafood at Elkhorn, plus fish is available as needed for those with dietary restrictions.
MEAT Excellent beef is a top priority at Elkhorn! On Sundays you'll be welcomed by roast beef cooked over the mesquite BBQ. Thursday night steak festivities are a special evening, and the Saturday picnic hamburgers are not to be missed. You'll also find a variety of other dishes such as roast pork, corned beef, or traditional pot roast.
POULTRY A variety of chicken dishes or a traditional holiday turkey feast provide variety over the course of the week.
PASTA Over the course of the week, you'll find an array of pasta, rice, grains and potato dishes to compliment the evening meal. For those who choose to avoid meat, we're happy to spice up other dishes to provide you with variety and nutrition!
VEGETARIAN Dietary restrictions or special needs are happily accomodated with advance notice.
DESSERTS The day is topped off with home made dessert! Birthday or anniversary cakes are easy to do with advance notice. Your final treat of the day is a great night's sleep, under the wide open bright skies of the Sonoran desert!
LIQUOR Most guests enjoy the cocktail hour in their cabins before supper. Alcohol is not served with supper, though you are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to share with your table.
A buffet lunch greets you at midday -- complete with ample platters of fresh fruit and vegetables. Main courses vary with the time of year -- hearty soups or chili, casseroles, or springy salads. Save room for the cookie platter, where you'll find several varieties baked that morning. Beware as the cookies are available all afternoon if you need a snack! Several days a week you'll have the chance to enjoy lunch on the trail, cooked over the campfire or for longer all day rides a bountiful sack lunch. A long-time Elkhorn tradition, the Saturday desert picnic, brings the week to a close with mesquite blessed hamburgers. Many vegetarians break their routine for this occasion!
Choosing your breakfast is the most challenging decision of the day! A buffet of juice, fruit, baked treats fresh from the early morning oven, and home made granola and other cereals greets you each morning. Then you can order a hot breakfast -- Elkhorn baked bread for toast, eggs any style, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. Huevos rancheros is a favorite, though most can only handle a half order!
A variety of wines are sold at the ranch, but not served in the dining room. Most guests enjoy the cocktail hour in their cabin before supper. You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to the dining room to share with your table.
