| LODGING |
| Our historic lodge and cozy log cabin accommodations provide the latest comforts. Each room and cabin is unique, but all our accommodations have private baths, daily maid service, and a bottomless cookie jar. |
| RECREATION |
| We have a spectacular horseback riding for riders of all abilities. We walk, trot, and canter our way across a wide variety of terrain. Gather our steers and learn the art of team penning in our large outdoor arena. And if you've ever dreamed of learning to fly fish, this is your opportunity. The Laramie River offers great fly fishing for wild brown trout. Professional instruction each Tuesday and all your equipment are included in your stay. Our naturalist rounds out the fun with explorations of our valley's flora and fauna. |
| FOR CHILDREN |
| We do our best to put "family" back into the family vacation. But when kids just aren't old enough to participate, our children's counselors keep them entertained with a wide range of age appropriate activities. Pony rides, educational games, crafts, or babysitting depending on age. Infants on up. |
| FOOD/LIQUOR |
| Hearty meals, fresh salads, warm breads, and desserts make meals a special occasion. We have vegetarian alternatives at every meal. Special diets accommodated with advance notice. Bring your own alcoholic beverages and we will be happy to chill them for you. |
| BUSINESS/MEETINGS |
| If your aim is to bring business professionals together to recreate and challenge themselves on horseback or in our river with a fly rod, then this is the place for you. We do not have a conference center or meeting areas for formal meetings. |

| REGION/CUSTOMS |
| Northern Colorado is still cattle country. Come enjoy the unspoiled beauty for a cattle drive in spring or fall. Visit our web site for dates and details! |
| HISTORY/HOSTS |
| Your hosts Krista and Bill Burleigh restored the old UT Bar Dude Ranch to life in '96. It had entertained guests since the late 1930's but had fallen into disrepair. Newly remodeled, the ranch offers the best of the new and the old. Come and ride the Rockies! |

| ITINERARY |
Unlike some ranches that have rigid schedules, the Laramie River Ranch provides you with lots of choices. If you want to ride every day, more power to you. We've also got fishing, naturalist hikes, horse education program, roping lessons, and lots of outdoor activities available every day of your stay. But we do have some neat events :
Tuesdays we have fly fishing lessons for everyone who has wanted to experience the thrill of wading into a crystal clear Colorado river.
Tuesdays is also our first team penning day. We gather our cattle from the pastures on the morning ride and team pen the rest of the afternoon.
Wednesdays we have a guided hike with our naturalist to learn about our valley's most industrious animal - the beaver. Its lots of fun for the whole family.
Wednesday is also the day we head up for our overnight pack trip to Bull Mountain. Steak cooked on the grill for dinner, great conversation and stories around the campfire, and a super ranch breakfast the next morning. [We do have an extra charge of $75 per person for overnights.]
Thursday we have a horse education program for all ages. You'll learn things you never knew about horses, tack, and the wranglers that handle them for the ranch.
Thursday evenings we dance! Our crew helps everyone learn the few simple moves and then we're off!
Fridays we have an all-day ride over a wide variety of terrain with a buffalo burger cookout up at the forest's edge. Non-riders come up by vehicle and share in the feast.
Saturday our guests venture out for rides morning and afternoon, or pack a lunch and reach for one of our most beautiful destinations - Red Mountain. There are destinations and challenges for everyone and every ability.
Saturday night we cap off the week with live western music. It's top notch entertainment you won't soon forget.
And did I mention food? Don't forget breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our cook and baker whip up meals you just can't resist. We serve up fine homestyle meals with are both hearty and healthy. Our homemade breads, cookies, pies, and desserts are to die for.
